Shell awards Enterprise Framework Agreement to Tyco International Flow Control Unit

SCHAFFHAUSEN, Switzerland, Tyco Flow Control, a unit of Tyco International (NYSE: TYC), recently announced that it has been selected to provide pressure relief valves and after-market services to Shell globally. The five-year Enterprise Framework Agreement (EFA) covers Crosby and Anderson Greenwood direct acting and pilot-operated pressure relief valves, line block relief valves and supporting services for all of Shell's operations worldwide.

With some of the industry's most recognized brands and extensive range of technology, Tyco Flow Control's products are applied in a wide range of industries, including oil and gas. The Anderson Greenwood and Crosby brands are renowned for their high quality and reliable performance in a broad range of applications.

Technip awarded an important five-year Inspection, Repair and Maintenance contract

Technip has been awarded a five-year inspection, repair and maintenance (IRM) frame agreement contract by ConocoPhillips (U.K.) Limited for various assets in the Central, Southern North Sea and East Irish Sea.

The contract covers diver repair and maintenance solutions for the company’s existing U.K. subsea infrastructure.

Technip’s operating center in Aberdeen, Scotland, will execute the contract, which will run from 2012 until 2016, with two two-year options to extend it. Vessels from Technip’s fleet, including the Orelia, the Skandi Achiever and the Wellservicer, will be used for this project

Technip awarded UK North Sea contract

Technip was awarded by Ithaca Energy (UK) Ltd an EPIC(1) subsea contract for the Greater Stella Area (GSA) development, located 280 kilometers East-Southeast of Aberdeen, Scotland at a water depth of approximately 90 meters.  Ithaca Energy (UK) Ltd is developing the GSA, centred on the Stella and Harrier fields as a stand-alone development utilizing its own floating production vessel.

The contract covers:

- Detailed design and pipelay of a 33 kilometre 10” oil export and 63 kilometer 10” gas export pipeline to the production platform,

- Various subsea works to the Stella main drill center and North drill center including;

- Installation of manifolds, tee structures, flexible pipelay and spoolpiece(2) components,

- Installation of the mooring system to the production platform and design and installation of five-slot mid water arch.

Technip’s operating center in Aberdeen will execute the contract, which is scheduled to be completed in the second half of 2013. Genesis, Technip’s consultancy subsea and offshore engineering company, will complete the detailed design workscope and flexible flowlines(3) will be manufactured at Technip’s flexible pipe plant in Le Trait, France. Meanwhile, Technip’s Evanton Spoolbase, near Inverness, Scotland will fabricate the linepipe and DUCO, the Group’s umbilical manufacturer in Newcastle, England will provide the umbilicals(4). Vessels from the Technip fleet will be used for the offshore campaign, including the Skandi Arctic and the Wellservicer.

National Instruments Opens Measurement House in UK & Ireland

NEWBURY, Berkshire – April, 2012 – Alex Davern, National Instruments Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer & Executive Vice President was among dignitaries including Richard Benyon, Member of Parliament for Newbury and Councillor Jeff Beck, the Mayor of Newbury, to officially open NI UK & Ireland’s new headquarters, Measurement House on Thursday 29th March.

The celebrations began with Davern presenting a business update outlining NI’s vision, goals and priorities as the company continues to grow, driven by the determination to help its customers, employees, partners and shareholders grow and be successful.

The lunch time ceremony was attended by key NI UK & Ireland customers, leadership, suppliers and Certified LabVIEW Architects participating in the European CLA Summit. The ceremony featured speeches followed by ribbon and cake cutting. Davern and and Benyon then unveiled a plaque to mark the occasion, and the event closed with a toast, before a networking lunch and individual meetings.

The move to the new state-of-the-art office in Newbury, Berkshire comes as a result of the continued growth and success of National Instruments in the UK & Ireland, named amongst the 50 Best Workplaces in the UK for the 6th consecutive year in 2011.
