Handheld Pressure Calibrator with Integral Electric Pressure Pump

OMEGA’s PCL819 combines a high performance handheld pressure calibrator with an integral electric pressure pump in a small, lightweight, handheld unit. Before this innovation, users had to manually generate pressure using cumbersome manual pumps or large, heavy boxes with limited portability and battery life. The PCL819 is only slightly larger than the PCL340 series and weighs in at a mere 1.2 kg (2.5 lb). The housing is easily contoured to fit a technicians hand with good balance top to bottom. The internal pump can generate vacuum or pressure from -12 to 300 psig. The PCL819 has an internal isolated pressure sensor with 0.025% of full scale accuracy and comes in three gauge and two absolute pressure ranges.

It is also compatible with the PCL-PM series external pressure modules which come in ranges from 5 to 5000 psig and also differential, absolute and compound ranges. A PCL-PMA module adaptor is required to use external modules. In addition to pressure the unit also has an input for Pt100 RTD sensors for temperature and can measure and simulate 4 to 20 mA current loops. The large LCD graphic display can be configured to display up to 3 variables at the same time by the user. It provides a number of convenience features such as switch testing, percent error, and a damping function. Up to 5 frequently used configuration can be stored and retrieved with one button recall.

Eight Channel Temperature/Voltage Input USB Data Acquisition Modules

The OM-USB-TEMP, OM-USB-TEMP-AI and OM-USB-5203 are USB 2.0 full speed temperature input data acquisition modules (fully compatible with both USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 ports). These are plug-and-play modules which draw power from the USB cable–no external power supply is required (except for

OM-USB-5203 which requires an ac adaptor). All configurable options are software programmable, and the modules are fully software calibrated. The OM-USB-TEMP and OM-USB-5203 provide eight differential temperature input channels. The OM-USB-TEMP-AI provides eight analog input channels that are configured as four differential temperature inputs and four differential or single-ended voltage inputs. Temperature inputs are software programmable for different sensor types including type J, K, T, E, R, S, B, N thermocouples, 2, 3 or 4-wire Pt100 RTDs, 2, 3 or 4-wire thermistors and semi-conductor sensors and are configured in blocks of two channels. A different type of sensor (thermocouple, RTD, thermistor, semiconductor) can be connected to each block of two channels (both channels must be the same type).

Ultra-compact Coriolis flowmeter for skid and machine builders

With Sitrans FC410, Siemens presents the lightest and most compact Coriolis flowmeter currently available, featuring a high measuring accuracy of 0.1 percent. With dimensions of only 265(L) x 280(H) x 90(B) millimeters and a weight of 4.6 kilograms in the smallest version (DN 15), the meter is ideal for machine and plant construction or for frame-mounted equipment. The combination of compact design, high accuracy, IP67 degree of protection and a wide variety of functions orients Sitrans FC410 toward use in almost any facility, even where space is very limited.

With the new Mini Flow Link (MFL) concept, Siemens has succeeded in accommodating transmitter functionalities in the sensor. The digitally based MFL permits a much more compact design without additional assembly work. Sitrans FC410 is therefore flexible enough for installation in confined spaces without any compromise in measuring accuracy or reliability. The digital MFL features a very fast signal update of 10 milliseconds and provides not only flow rate data but also the mass, volume, density, and temperature of the medium. The innovative CompactCurve design of the sensor developed by Siemens ensures a high level of reliability due to its stable zero point, low pressure loss, and high immunity to process noise and plant vibrations. Sitrans FC410 is therefore especially suitable for use in challenging applications where accuracy and reliability in measurements of density and mass are required. Sitrans FC410 communicates with Simatic and all other common process control systems via the multidrop-addressable Modbus RTU485 and can be integrated easily into both existing and new systems.Installation and commissioning of the flowmeter require only simple, one-time configuration in the control system with little programming. If a flowmeter is replaced or further flowmeters are connected, the user's settings are automatically transferred.
