3rd International Conference on Power Plant Cyclic Operation- Technical & Cost Issues

USA: Power Plant Cycling Conference + accompanying Crack Assessment and GT Courses

European Technology Development – an international company with worldwide consulting business in power plant operation, maintenance, materials, condition and integrity/ life assessment, weld repairs, benchmarking etc. and specialist expertise in plant cyclic operation and costs analysis – is pleased to announce that it is organising its 3rd International Conf. on “POWER PLANT/ CCGT/ HRSG CYCLIC OPEARTION – Technical and Cost Issues”: 28-30 November 2012, Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. This is perhaps going to be one of the finest gatherings of its kind bringing together plant operators, designers, manufacturers, service providers and researchers from USA, Canada, UK, Japan, Europe, Asia and elsewhere on one single platform. They will be focussing on the all important issue of damage involved in plant cyclic operation and costs associated with it. With the increasing penetration from renewable energies like solar, hydro and wind, cyclic operation of the conventional and CCGT/HRSG plant will be further enhanced. The effect will be even more severe on older less efficient plant, designed for base load operation, as they are used more and more for peak load power supply. The conference Program and Registration Form can be accessed at

Gastech 2012 London Conference & Exhibition

Gastech is the global meeting place for energy professionals working in the natural gas industry. Operating on an 18 month cycle to ensure issues remain topical, the 26th edition of Gastech will take place at the award-winning ExCeL Conference & Exhibition Centre in London’s Docklands, 8-11 October 2012. Originally set up to bring together the technical decision-makersinvolved in LNG and LPG shipping, Gastech now attracts the major technical and commercial players from around the world to meet, discuss and exchange ideas affecting the upstream, midstream, downstream and power generation sectors of the industry. Gas is proving to be an increasingly popular choice for power generation, industry and transport, as the cleanest fossil fuel available, whilst nuclear energy comes under intense scrutiny and renewable energy sources remain unreliable. Gastech exists to nourish and build relationships in the global energy community to ensure that gas remains at the forefront of the international energy mix.

ARC Advisory Group’s 2012 Beijing Forum to Focus on Transforming China’s Industry

ARC Advisory Group, a market research and analyst firm to the global automation, manufacturing, and infrastructure sectors, will hold its third annual China Forum, June 20-21, 2012 at the China National Conventional Center in Beijing. Co-located with the FA/PA Show, ARC’s Third China Forum is supported by Vogel Media and Hannover Milano Fair.

China National Convention CenterThe theme of the forum, “Transforming Industry and Infrastructure Through New Processes and Technologies,” should appeal to a broad cross-section of executives in China who are experiencing great pressure to upgrade and transform their operations to be able to satisfy the often-conflicting demands of energy efficiency, environmental protection, and a complex global economy. “As manufacturers, power generators, utilities, and other industrial organizations in China struggle with how to make best use of new approaches and technologies to achieve world-class status, they seek practical knowledge from their peers in China and elsewhere around the world,” commented David Cao, General Manager of ARC China. “It’s not likely that they’ll find a better place to obtain this type of information than at our Forum next week.”
