Advantech introduces High Density PCI Express DAQ Cards

To keep ahead of trends within the automation industry, the Industrial Automation Group of Advantech has launched a new range of high density isolated DAQ cards that use the PCI Express interface. These three cards – PCIE-1752 (64 digital output channels), PCIE-1754 (64 digital input channels) and PCIE-1756 (32 digital input/32 digital output channels) - which have a faster data transfer rate than standard PCI cards, offer up to 64 channels, do not need special development software and have a maximum output current capacity of 500mA per channel.

Almost unique in the industry, the cards have 64 high density isolated digital IO channels making it possible for users to have the same number of I/O channels but using less space and saving more money and because the digital output of these cards can be as high as 500mA per channel users can use these cards to drive through larger loads than before. All of the cards also include: 70 VDC over voltage protection, 2000 VDC ESD, 2500 VDC isolation protection and will retain their output settings and values after hot resetting the system.

Since these cards use a similar bus type, they can be configured using the same software, DAQNavi, as used for existing PCI cards. To aid in the development of configurations and applications Advantech provide a range of options such as an SDK which works with: Visual C++, Visual Basic, VB.NET, C#, Delphi, BCB, LabVIEW, QT and Java. Also included is the integrated utility, which provides configuration, function testing, documentation and many practical coded examples.
