Kuwait National Petroleum Co (KNPC) has awarded South Korean Daelim Industrial a $516m contract for the repair and expansion of sulphur processing facilities at its largest refinery of Mina Al Ahmadi, Gulf Daily News has reported. The project will raise Kuwait's annual sulphur output from 850,000 tonnes to two million tonnes. Under the terms of the deal, Daelim is to undertake all processes from design, engineering, and construction to test run, besides installing new equipment, said KNPC spokesman, Mohammad Al Ajmi.
